When a tenant commits an act at the premises that can be corrected (cured) then this is the notice to use so that he may have an opportunity to correct the violation or vacate. Such examples would be; the landlord has a “no pet” policy and the tenant has a cat or dog, the tenant without first obtaining the landlord's consent goes ahead and installs a waterbed. Any time a significant minor or major violation that can be tenant corrected, this form should be used. See Code of Civil Procedure § 1161 and 1162.
